Frequently asked

My prayer times look off by a few minutes.
Open Settings and check the Calculation Method and Asr (Madhab) – different authorities use different sun angles and Asr shadow lengths. Pick the one your local masjid follows.

The Qibla arrow isn’t pointing correctly.
Move your device in a figure-8 to calibrate the compass, and keep it away from magnets and metal. The Qibla relies on your device’s magnetometer; a physical compass or the listed bearing is a good cross-check.

I’m not getting notifications.
Make sure notifications are allowed for Waqti in iOS Settings › Notifications › Waqti, and that “Prayer notifications” is on in the app. If the sound is set to “Silent,” alerts appear without audio by design.

I bought Waqti Pro but don’t see it.
Open the app’s Settings and tap Restore purchase on the Waqti Pro screen. Purchases are tied to your Apple ID and restore across your devices at no extra cost.

How does Calendar-aware windows use my calendar?
It reads your device calendar on your device only, to warn you when a meeting overlaps a prayer window. Nothing leaves your phone, and your calendar is never modified. You can turn it off in the app, or revoke access in iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Calendars › Waqti.

Does Waqti collect my data?
No. There are no accounts, ads, analytics, or tracking, and your location and entries stay on your device. See our Privacy Policy.
